Kimberly Trate: Painter
For me, artmaking is like tenderly holding onto a secret, beloved thing. My work is quiet- often with rhythmic, drippy watercolors. Sometimes grainy charcoals or inkwell pens will make appearances. I always doodle and sometimes those doodles become more. My subjects vary and are unmasked in soft, stylized fragments of lines, light, and shadow.

Artist Bio.Kimberly built her career within New York’s vibrant art world, working as an art consultant, gallery director, and collections manager. Throughout her professional journey, she has remained deeply committed to her own creative practice and is rarely without a sketchbook in hand.
Since settling in Chester County, Kimberly has exhibited her work in juried shows with Main Line Art Center, Chester County Art Association, and Tredyffrin Township Arts Commission.
By day, she serves as Vice President of Appraisals and Sales Advisory for an art advisory firm, where she enjoys traveling and encountering new works of art. Outside of her formal role, Kimberly is actively engaged in local restoration projects, curating collections and exhibitions, and, of course, doodling. Always doodling.
